Earthworks - Netflix

There are certain places in the world that hold special meaning to us all, whether it invokes nostalgia, a sense of heritage or it is simply the beauty of an environment that makes its mark on us forever. These are the places that need to be protected, understood and savored so that we are not the only ones to enjoy them with such intensity - they need to be preserved for future generations. Born of that notion, VICELAND, in partnership with Live Nation and Subaru of America, Inc., presents Earthworks.

Earthworks - Earthworks (engineering) - Netflix

Earthworks are engineering works created through the processing of parts of the earth's surface involving quantities of soil or unformed rock.

Earthworks - Military use - Netflix

In military engineering, earthworks are, more specifically, types of fortifications constructed from soil. Although soil is not very strong, it is cheap enough that huge quantities can be used, generating formidable structures. Examples of older earthwork fortifications include moats, sod walls, motte-and-bailey castles, and hill forts. Modern examples include trenches and berms.
